They are modern day Adonis.
Dr. Julian De Silva, a facial cosmetic surgeon, used the Greek golden ratio of beauty to determine the 10 most handsome men in the world, according to scientific research.
“These new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what makes someone physically beautiful, and the technology is useful when planning patients’ surgery,” De Silva said.
The Golden Ratio — 1.618 (φ) : 1 — is an ancient Greek mathematical equation said to be an irrefutable measure of true beauty, and the closer your facial structure is to these numbers, the more beautiful you are. you are
De Silva, who heads the Center for Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery in London, concluded in his analysis that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is scientifically the most handsome man on Earth.
The 34-year-old actor widely touted as the next James Bond topped the list with a near-perfect score of 93.04%.
“Aaron was the clear winner when all facial elements were measured for physical perfection,” said De Silva.
He explained that what makes Taylor-Johnson “so remarkable” is his overall face shape, which “is only 0.8% off being perfect” with a score of 99.2%. The width and length of his nose are also “almost perfect” at 98.8%.
“He also has a beautifully sculpted beard, which scored well at 95%,” explained De Silva. “All of his scores were really strong except for his eye space at 89%, the gap between his nose and lip (89.6%) and his lips (86%).”
If Taylor-Johnson becomes the next 007, it would make him “the most handsome James Bond in the history of the role,” according to science.
“Aaron’s score of 93.04% is well ahead of Sean Connery, in second place with 89.2%, with Roger Moore in third place with 88.8% and Daniel Craig in last place – behind George Lazenby – with 84.2%.
In second place is 32-year-old “Emily in Paris” star Lucien Laviscount with a score of 92.41% — and he had the highest score for face length and width at 99.1%. He scored top for his “beautifully shaped lips” with 97.4%, although he was noted for the gap between his nose and upper lip.
Paul Mescal, 28, is the third most handsome man in the world with a score of 92.38%. He had the highest score for his square chin at 98.6% and was scored for his thin lips at just 82%.
In fourth place is Robert Pattinson, 38 years old, with 92.15%. De Silva noted that the Twilight heartthrob was “in the top five for almost every category because he has such classically shaped features and a beautifully chiseled jawline. His only below-average score was for his lips its a bit thin and flat.”
British actor Jack Lowden, 34, came fifth with a score of 90.33%. He had the highest score for his eye position and came second for eye separation. His falling marks were due to his lips and the length and width of his nose.
“It’s not hard to see why he made such an impression with those deep blue eyes,” De Silva said of Lowden.
“George Clooney is easily the oldest star on the list, but he remains a stunningly attractive man with classically well-proportioned features,” De Silva added of the world’s sixth most handsome man.
Clooney, 63, had a score of 89.9% due to “loss of volume in his face and, inevitably, some sagging around the eyes”.
“To still be in the top 10 at the age of 63 is remarkable and is testament to his incredible natural looks,” added De Silva.
“X-Men” star Nicholas Hoult, 34, came in seventh with 89.84%. He scored 95.8% for his eye position and scored well in all categories – except the overall shape of his face, which received a score of 80%.
“Riverdale’s” Charles Melton came in eighth place with 88.46%, scoring high for the position of his eyes, length and width of his face, but scored for the gap between his nose and upper lip.
“He has a Korean mother and an American father, and this mixed-race heritage gives him a particularly striking look,” De Silva noted.
In ninth place was Idris Elba with an overall score of 87.94% – but he had the highest mark for eye distance at 98.9%. Elba’s “beautifully sculpted beard” just missed the top spot with a score of 98.5%, and he was scored because of the shape of his nose.
“At 52, Idris is the third oldest man on the list, but he is showing few signs of aging and is in great shape,” added De Silva.
Finally, in tenth place, Shah Rukh Khan, the 58-year-old ‘King of Bollywood’, scored an overall 86.76% and scored highly for his square lips and chin, but was marked down for his nose shape.
“The King of Bollywood has been one of India’s biggest stars for the past three decades. “He’s still amazing at 58 and he’s aging wonderfully,” De Silva said.
